Coldplay's Music of the Spheres World Tour made history in Abu Dhabi with four sold-out concerts, welcoming more than 200,000 fans and becoming the largest concert series by an international music act ever held in the region. As part of one of the world's most successful touring productions, TGP Catering & Hospitality was appointed to deliver premium catering for both the VIP hospitality programme and the local and touring production crews.
Over an 18-day operational period, our team served more than 5,000 meals, delivering exceptional food, service and operational excellence within a fast-paced, high-profile production environment.
Catering behind one of the region's biggest concerts
Delivering catering for an international touring production requires meticulous planning, flexibility and flawless execution. Working alongside organisers, venue teams and local suppliers, TGP designed and delivered a catering programme that balanced high-volume service with premium hospitality, ensuring every guest and crew member received an exceptional dining experience.
From kitchen infrastructure planning and logistics to menu development and on-site service, every aspect of the operation was carefully coordinated to support the scale and pace of the event.
Crew catering
Supporting the people behind the production was a key part of the operation. TGP provided over 3,500 meals for the local production crew and 1,700 meals for the international touring crew across lunch, dinner and overnight shifts.
A carefully planned six-day rotating menu featured international cuisine, live cooking stations and customised meals catering to a wide range of dietary requirements. Extensive collaboration with venue teams and suppliers also enabled the successful installation of temporary kitchen facilities and efficient back-of-house operations.
Premium VIP hospitality
Alongside crew catering, TGP delivered an elevated hospitality experience for VIP guests across multiple premium areas, including VIP boxes, lounges and exclusive viewing platforms.
Guests enjoyed a refined dining experience featuring premium buffet selections, live cooking stations, gourmet canapés and dedicated beverage service, all designed to complement the atmosphere of one of the world's biggest live music events.
